Understanding Allergies

By Mira Rakicevic

Allergies affect more than 50 million Americans every year. According to the CDC’s allergy facts, allergies are the sixth leading cause of chronic illness in the US. Help your patients understand why they may experience certain reactions with education in the exam room, and how the ocular symptoms they experience are pieces of the puzzle in understanding their allergies.
