CONTACT LENSES
New Soft Multifocal Lens
The HDX Progressive Lens, from PolyVue, is the newest addition to the companys Presbyopic System family of soft contact lenses. The new lens uses proprietary progressive geometry. It comes in a base curve of 8.6mm, a diameter of 14.0mm and power ranges of +5.00D to -7.00D. The replacement schedule is quarterly, and the lenses come in a three-plus-one pack.

As an introductory promotion, PolyVue is offering a free compact fitting set to practitioners who commit to fitting about three new patients a month. The set includes the HD aspheric lens at the full power range and the new HDX progressive lens (the rest of the pro-ducts, including the Toric Progressives, will be available on an empirical basis). New Keratoconus Lens
The Rose K2 Aberration Control lens, from Blan-chard Contact Lens, Inc., is an updated design of the companys original Rose K keratoconus lens. The updated lens incorporates a parabolic section on the posterior surface to counteract the spherical aberrations found with higher minus and steeper keratoconus lenses. These aberrations are cancelled out via assorted amounts of eccentricity across the lens back optic zone diameter. The extent of eccentricity varies with every combination of base curve, diameter and power.

The Rose K2 is available in diameters of 7.9mm to 10.2mm, base curves of 4.75mm to 8.40mm and any power range. Fitting directions are the same as those for the Rose K lens, so you can use the Rose K fitting set to fit patients in either lens. Call 1-800-367-4009, or go to www.blanchardlab.com.
