Clinicians looking for patient education handouts for their Spanish-speaking patients can now browse through 100 articles in All About Vision’s library of resources (available at www.allaboutvision.com/es) or simply refer patients to the site directly.

The company recently translated popular articles into Spanish to better meet the needs of this patient population. Topics include:

  • Eye conditions and diseases
  • Contact lenses
  • Eyeglasses
  • Eye exams
  • Children’s vision
  • Digital eyestrain
  • LASIK and vision surgery
  • Eye anatomy
  • Eye color

“While primarily targeted to the more than 40 million people in the United States for whom Spanish is the first language, the articles have also drawn readership from other Spanish-speaking countries, led by Mexico and Spain,” the company said in a press release.

The content has generated 2.6 million page views thus far in 2018, according to All About Vision. Average reading time per page is higher for the Spanish-language articles than their English counterparts (4:55 vs. 3:31), the website noted, suggesting a positive reception by the audience.
