Working Smarter Tops Professional Goals

More than 52 percent of respondents to a recent Women In Optometry Pop-up Poll said that a professional goal for the year was to work smarter during their time in the office so that they could be there for less time. Respondents to the survey could select all goals that applied to them both professionally and personally.

On the professional side, increase practice revenue took the second most popular spot at 47 percent of respondents, and earning a higher salary was a goal for 30 percent.

ODs ranked getting and staying in good physical shapes as a top personal goal for the year (68 percent), as well as spending more time on things they enjoy such as exercise, travel and hobbies (64 percent). Forty-seven percent of respondents would like to spend more time with family, and 47 percent would like to be less stressed in 2019.
