A federal jury found CIBA Vision guilty of false advertising regarding O2Optix lenses and found that CIBA Vision intentionally misrepresented Johnson & Johnsons Acuvue brand. But, the jury limited the damages sought by J&J and required J&J to pay court costs.

 

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the University of Houston created the Multiple Sclerosis Eye Center for Analysis, Research and Education (MS Eye CARE), which teaches health care professionals how to recognize ocular manifestations of MS.

 

Researchers found that increasing daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids reduces IOP with age, and suggest that dietary changes can significantly modify IOP levels. They examined rats given omega-3-sufficient or -deficient food to determine a correlation between IOP, age and diet.

 

The U.S. Department of Labor found that nearly 35,000 Americans suffer from work-related eye injuries each year. These cost industries more than $300 million. But, 90% of job-related eye injuries can be prevented by wearing proper eye protection, the department says.
